We also got alex song on loan even tho he was injured, so thats a shit argument, but i do agree with P, we should have team players at the club

Best speak to TfL about getting more trains put on.

That's our job is it? Not something that the club should do or Westfield seeing as they don't want us there.

I've also walked through Westfield a couple of times before the game and been asked by stewards whether I am looking for the stadium. Why are Olympic Park stewards inside Westfield? What's it got to do with them? I know where I am going.

Do they assist all the shoppers in making sure they find the shop they are looking for? M&S Sir? John Lewis Madam?

Buying injury prone players hasnt stopped us in the past B, bellamy, carroll, dyer to name a few, in fact we have made a recent career of it

To be honest, if Payet goes, I will be more than happy if he comes in. Doing really well in the prem and much more of a team player which is what I want. I want a team and not a one man show.

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
ah ok so you are picking and choosing what suits your point of view now? huge surprise.....

hull got relegated, snodgrass was injured. how are you supposed to sell an injured player?

again, check facts first, open mouth later.

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
In regards to the actual post, after challenging for the champs league last season and being promised amazing players, does snodgrass make you amazed, like many fans i think you would be disappointed

Steven P 5:09 Fri Jan 13
Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
So Snodgrass is playing regularly in the PL and doing quite a good job at it as well. How does he not qualify?

grasshopper 5:08 Fri Jan 13
Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
B - hull got relegated, did anyone sign him after that cause he is a consistent premier league quality player? Since he has been with hull since 2014 i think not

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I missed that!

P

By your logic jarvis could be therefore classed as a PL player, which i as many west ham fans believe is wrong. I get your point about bench warmers, so maybe we can agree that PL quality players should be playing regularly in the PL.

"normally a premier league player is playing in the premier league for a number of consecutive seasons in a row. The case with snodgrass is simple - if he was a consecutively performing premier league player why did no one sign him when his club got relegated?"

do you mean like when he got relegated with norwich and hull immediately bought him to play in the premiership??? i think you need to check your facts before you post old chap ;-)

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
Are the people turning their noses up at snodgrass the same ones who thought Walcott and Oxlaide-chamberlain (sp) were not good enough for us in the summer!

I really dont understand some of our fans nowadays. on one hand we are never going to sign someone like lukaku, but on the other hand snodgrass isnt good enough. someone with a goal every 3 games and who destroyed us at the shit pit this season.

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
There are also plenty of players that have been relegated with their teams and not been snapped up? You are branding them all not good enough for the premier league?

Seriously that logic is wrong on a lot of levels.

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
Bigot - on paper, yes he does. But who knows what affect he's having on team spirit? Who knows how much better we might be with a real worker like Snodgrass? Someone who completes more passes because he's been sensible rather than tried something silly?

You can argue the opposite to that as well - his 'rabona' cross to Antonio being the first thing to pop into my head. Or the Middlesbrough goal.

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
A Premier League player is a player who can play to an average standard and above in the premier league compared to his piers surely??? Doesn't matter if its 1 season or 10. We are talking about right here and now. There are plenty of players who have sat on benches for years that I would not class as premiership class players - they may have got one or two games a season. That's consistent but not good enough. There are also players that have played in the premiership for 10 years and are at the end of their career and are not premier league players anymore but have consistently done it for 10 years. There are also players that have burst onto the scene and it is their first season but it is clear they are premiership players.

Your very simple logic if flawed massively.

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
Maybe strange to you SP but generally quite true. A good case is matt jarvis, we signed him after wolves got relegated as we thought he was a PL standard player, after a couple of seasons in the PL the club realised he was championship standard, he was sold to norwich who got relegated and no one in the PL has recruited him back to the PL. im interested to hear your classification of a PL player if its one year stats like mr. Snodgrass then maybe you may consider signings like illunga - plenty of one season wonders in the PL with good stats

Players like carrick, cole, defoe all spent many years in the PL as they were PL quality players unlike snodgrass

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
I dunno, Steven. I think it's fair enough to agree that a Premier League level player is one who regularly plays top-flight football.

The question being asked though is the wrong one. The right questions are; does he fit West Ham? Will we become a better team with him in the squad? Are we likely to significantly push on with him in the side?

Payet, while not popular at the moment fits all the criteria (temperament aside).

Steven P 4:42 Fri Jan 13
Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
So your criteria is:-

- Played in the premier league for consecutive years?
- If relegated, get signed by another premier league team?

Is that correct? Because if so, it is the most bizarre criteria I have ever heard.

grasshopper 4:38 Fri Jan 13
Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
normally a premier league player is playing in the premier league for a number of consecutive seasons in a row. The case with snodgrass is simple - if he was a consecutively performing premier league player why did no one sign him when his club got relegated? When scott parker, joe cole, carrick, glen johnson got relegated with west ham they were snapped up quick and played in the premier league for a number of consecutive years

Steven P 4:32 Fri Jan 13
Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
Grasshopper - as you said, his stats do not back him up, when they clearly do. Please tell me your criteria for a premiership player?

Re: When we move into the OS we'll attract "Any player in the world"
Agree with the grasshopper, I thought it was a joke when I heard we'd bid for Snodgrass.
